Jennifer Hawkins flew into the eye of the storm yesterday, landing in Perth amid turbulence not long after the hail storm hit.
It was a less than glamorous arrival for the Myer fashion ambassador, with Perth airport flooded and in chaos. Baggage conveyor belts were not working, people were strewn everywhere as planes were delayed and Hawkins and fellow passengers were trapped on the runway waiting for a safe time to disembark.
"We flew in and had no idea that was happening, because we were in it!" she said of the storm. "People were strewn all over the airport, it was flooded everywhere."
But the model was the picture of winter glamour today as she talked fashion trends at the Myer city store in front of a big crowd.
