The MTV.com.au 'Fashion File' is all about celebrity style inspiration. We talk to the stars about our favourite outfits: why they chose them, why they love them and how it made them feel.
This week we sit down with Aussie popstrel Cassie Davis. An artist who's known as much for her stunning style as her powerhouse vocals and electric live performances.
Cassie: I like this outfit because it's very colourful, very fun! It was summer when I did this, and I like the cut because it's kind of short, but covers a bit more at the top.
The shoes I'm wearing are one of my favourite. I wear them all the time because they're so comfortable. You can't really see it in the picture, but I love the studs. There's some gold detailing in them which makes them stand out.
Cassie: Again, a short number! There is mesh on the arms for something different, then a belt to cinch in the waist with some detailing on it for a focal point. We teamed lots of gold jewellery with it, lots of gold bracelets.
Now these were the most uncomfortable shoes in the whole world! I thought I was going to die wearing these shoes! They were really really really uncomfortable and I've never worn them since. They're sitting in the back of my wardrobe! But they look good and that's the point of the red carpet.
Cassie: This is probably my favourite red carpet outfit that I've worn. It was very very last minute, and as soon as put it on I knew I wanted to wear it. Again, very short, I like short ones! I love the neckline of this dress, there's lots of details and sparkles which is really pretty for a red carpet and eye-catching.
I like the asymmetrical lines on this one. I actually find it pretty hard to get clothes because not everyone makes a size 6, but this designer had accidentally made the dress too small so it fit perfectly. They couldn't use it for anything else because it was the wrong size for a sample, so no one else had worn it. It was meant to be! I wish I could've kept that one! The shoes again were not that comfortable but they suited the outfit.
